FEDERATION OF WESTERN OUTDOOR CLUBS

No. 29
HARDESTY MOUNTAIN PROTECTION

4,273 foot Hardesty Mountain, an outstanding recreational area in the Lowell District of the Willamette National Forest, Oregon, comprising a mere 8,900 acres and which narrowly missed inclusion in the recent Oregon Wilderness Bill, justifies special environmental protection, such as primitive, roadless and recreation management.

Therefore be it resolved that the Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs urges that Hardesty Mountain in the Willamette National Forest, Oregon, remain a primitive, roadless, recreation area.
