| The Federal Cave Resources
Protection Act has been approved by the U.S. House of Representatives
and the Senate will vote on its companion bill (S 927) later this year. |

| This proposed legislation
applies protection to all caves under federal jurisdiction, including
those on Indian lands. Protection will be afforded to cave life
including endangered species of bats, geological formations and other
natural resources. |

| The Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs reaffirms its position supporting a Cave Resources
Protection Act taken in 1985 and urges support for the passage of S 927. |
