_CALIFORNIA PARKS AND WILDLIFE INITIATIVE_

| California Parks and
Wildlife Initiative (CALPAW), currently in the signature gathering
phase, will provide $1.9 billion in general obligation bonds to pay for
419 projects in California. They include acquisition,
rehabilitation, development, and restoration of environmental and
cultural resources. State park projects constitute $115 million
of this total. If the signature gathering is successful, this
initiative will qualify for the June, 1994 state ballot. |

Western
Outdoor Clubs (FWOC) urges support for the Calpaw Initiative and asks
its California member clubs to join in this effort. |
